Tried to book a yakiniku store in a very last minute but all good review one was fully booked so we just random went to this one since they were still available turned out that the meat was soooooooo good the staffs were friendly and the atmosphere was good and clean and when I say clean it's not western standard clean but japanese standard clean. I recommend the wagyu and harami. Kimchi was good but namul was so so. Really impressed!

During my family trip to Matsumoto, I thought this place would be the perfect spot for our first dinner because I knew my parents, being Korean, were somewhat unfamiliar with Japanese food. I didn't take many photos since I was busy grilling the meat, but we started with premium beef tongue and went on to enjoy wagyu sirloin, skirt steak, ribs, and various offal cuts. The quality of the meat was excellent, and our whole family enjoyed the meal. Moreover, the kimchi and namul we ordered on the side were some of the best Korean dishes I've had in Japan (though, as a Korean, I was surprised by the price!). The restaurant is a bit away from Matsumoto Station, so it seems to be visited mostly by locals rather than tourists. However, I highly recommend visitors to Matsumoto to try this place for the great meat and kimchi. You won't be disappointed.

Indulge in the finest Japanese beef at Botanen Located near Matsumoto station , 900 m walking distance. The restaurant offers an unforgettable BBQ experience with wagyu beef, karubi etc. No pork or seafood. Good for group of 2-4 only.

We arrived at 5PM at the opening and were lucky to find table as many people came around 6PM. We ordered some beef tongue, skirt steak, seared Sukiyaki loin, Kobe beef Galbi. It was sensational! All parts were very tasty with different flavors. The fat on the Galbi was delicious. We had the Beef loin seared just in front of us and we had it with egg yolk sauce. It just became a complete dish in your mouth. I ordered some cold noodles “Shinshu” style using local buckwheat. The texture was amazing. Chewy but easy to slurp. I added some wasabi leaves as recommended and the soup took a different direction. It became spicy with lot of umami. It’s the best cold noodles I’ve ever had. I’ll recommend to book in advance or to go at the opening to secure a seat.

Found this gem by chance after having been looking for a yakiniku restaurant in Matsumoto that can accommodates foreigners for few days. The standard set (8,000¥) was already great enough. Personally, the Broiled Sukiyaki loin was the best among all we had tasted. Though, every single item in the set was very delicious. Highly recommended Best yakiniku in our Japan trip so far

I came here twice during my stay in Matsumoto, whilst being a solo diner I'm grateful there were spots available later in the evening, and I was treated kindly despite not knowing much Japanese myself. I had the wagyu sirloin, Kobe beef short rib and shrimp as well as salad and different beverages and it was one of my favourite meals on my 3 week journey Through Japan!

Delicious yakiniku at reasonable prices. The beef was of good quality. We ordered 3 cuts of beef, rice and salad which was plenty of food. I recommend booking as the restaurant was full.
